Local Search Growth

They more than doubled in a month.

A stone and countertop retailer in a big metro area was barely showing up on Google. Three months later, clicks went from a trickle to real demand, and eleven keywords hit #1.

For a multi-location home improvement retailer (natural stone and countertops).

The result
+140%
more clicks from Google, month over month
+115%
more times seen on Google, same month
11
keywords at #1 on Google
Monthly clicks from Google
65Month 1
133Month 2
320Month 3
Measured in Google Search Console. Half the tracked keywords reached the top ten. One main money keyword went from not ranking at all to #1.
How it happened (not with more blogs)

The growth didn't come from pumping out posts. It came from fixing what was already there and adding the right pages:

Titles on 56 pages New page + FAQs Links between pages Template for 27 cities
Built to scale

Instead of building each city page by hand, I set up one template. The same win can be repeated in 27 markets without starting over. That's the difference between one good month and something that keeps growing.

Traffic was never the point. The point was getting the pages that make money in front of people already looking to buy.
What it meant for the business

More clicks only matter if they turn into leads. So I checked the leads too.

The report showed about 240 "form submissions". Most of them were people using the inventory filter, not people asking for a quote. The real number: 33 leads in July, 18 in August. I told the client straight. Now they make decisions on real leads, not inflated ones.
